I used the ‘Triple Heart Twirl’ die from Poppy stamps to create these fun cards. At first, I thought I’d make Valentines Day Cards. Turns out this is a very versatile die and by changing up the papers you use, it can become just about anything you like; Birthday, Thinking of you…. the skys the limit with this one.
A quick birthday card for a friend that adores Disney. This is an older wood mounted stamp that I’ve had for years. A little copic coloring and tada… it’s all done. Loved the clean and simple look of this card.
the inside. Used MFT die to create the “you”.
Wednesday Simon Says Stamp Challenge is ‘Something New’. So I used the new SSS January Card Kit to create this card. The only things that did come with the kit was the red ribbon and the red ink which I grabbed from my stash. Pretty simple, but sweet.
First card of the New Year! Happy 2018, everyone.
Used the Simon Says Stamp 6×6 Circle Doodle background stamp. Heat embossed with White embossing powder and colored it in using my Zig Real Brush markers. The challenge was “Something New”. Well, even though I bought that background stamp a couple of months ago, this was my first time using it. Love it!
Monday’s challenge is a Nautical themed challenge. I used the all sorts of stuff to make this card. The Wave die from Avery Elle was used to create the great background. It was mounted on blue card stock. I masked off the bottom and added some Salty Ocean Distress Ink on the bottom to break up all card into different zones.
The images came from Hero Arts and Impress cards + crafts. A little copic coloring and it was finished.
This card was so much fun to make! I took some Bristol smooth card stock and a whole rainbow of inks and started blending. I don’t have enough colors from one company to make the entire rainbow, so I thought, what the heck, I’m just going to pick out colors I love and see what happens. And that’s what I did.
I used the Hybrid ink from Simon Says Stamp (honestly, I don’t know if they have another kind). Red-Watermelon, Green -Key Lime, Orange- Orange Slush, Yellow- Lemon Zest
I used Premium Dye ink from Lawn Fawn. Purple- Sugarplum, Pink- Pink Flamingo
I used Distress Ink for my final color. Blue- Salty Ocean.
It worked! I’m so happy about this. I have a super bad case of gotta have it all/complete set itis, so to find out that what I already own will do the job was HUGE for me. And not just do the job, but do the job well.
I heat set my rainbow background and then taped a Hero Arts Spiral stencil over the top of my panel. I then took a palette knife and added Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer paste. So pretty.
Stacked up the 3 butterfly die cuts from Artco to give it dimension and added the feel better soon sentiment from the Altenew Bamboo Rose stamp set. Finished it off by adding the whole thing to a black card base. So fun!
This Wednesdays Challenge is For a Child. I thought the picture book Fox die from Simon Says Stamp was perfect for this challenge. I die cut it out from 3 different colors of paper; tan, brown and black. Then put it back together as you see above. Used the Simon Says Stamp Wonky rectangle dies to cut out the copper rectangle and adhered it to some craft card stock. The hello die from Poppy Stamps and My Favorite Things All About You stamp set for the embossed beautiful finished the card off.
