These sweet little birdies from ‘United We Flourish’ stamp set by Hero Art for Ellen Hutson makes the cutest birthday card. I started by creating a rainbow background with Distress Oxide inks. Copic colored the birds. Then used the new YAY die from My Favorite Things to create the sentiment for this card. Super fun and easy to do.
I used the ‘Triple Heart Twirl’ die from Poppy stamps to create these fun cards. At first, I thought I’d make Valentines Day Cards. Turns out this is a very versatile die and by changing up the papers you use, it can become just about anything you like; Birthday, Thinking of you…. the skys the limit with this one.
I’ve been participating in The Daily Marker 30 Day challenge by Kathy Rac. The challenge is to color something for at least 10 minutes every day. Today I grabbed this black and white card I received in a Honey Bee Stamps order a while ago. I thought, I’ll just do a quick 10 minutes and finish it up tomorrow. I kind of like it just the way it is. Day 14.
The longer I look at it the more convinced I was that the panel was finished. So, I went with my gut feeling and made a clean and simple card. All I did was mount my panel on some black card stock and Wha. La! It’s finished.
A quick birthday card for a friend that adores Disney. This is an older wood mounted stamp that I’ve had for years. A little copic coloring and tada… it’s all done. Loved the clean and simple look of this card.
the inside. Used MFT die to create the “you”.
This weeks challenge was to create a card using patterned paper. What a fun idea. I hardly ever use patterned paper, yet I have a bunch of it. So started by adding some Distress Oxide ink to a panel, cut it out with the SSS Wonky rectangle die and then used the Essentials by Ellen Hinged alphabet dies. The patterned paper is behind letters. I know it doesn’t show up very well in the photo, but trust me, it’s back there.
Wednesday Simon Says Stamp Challenge is ‘Something New’. So I used the new SSS January Card Kit to create this card. The only things that did come with the kit was the red ribbon and the red ink which I grabbed from my stash. Pretty simple, but sweet.
First card of the New Year! Happy 2018, everyone.
Used the Simon Says Stamp 6×6 Circle Doodle background stamp. Heat embossed with White embossing powder and colored it in using my Zig Real Brush markers. The challenge was “Something New”. Well, even though I bought that background stamp a couple of months ago, this was my first time using it. Love it!
